LAUSD Visual and Performing Arts to Be Showcased in Local District Northeast Arts Celebration

WHAT: Performing and visual arts programs offered at more than 25 schools in Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) Local District Northeast will be showcased during its Northeast Arts Celebration.  Hundreds of students will participate in dance, music, and theater performances. The various routines will span the arts including mariachi groups, drum lines, marching bands, jazz, ballroom,  Folklorico dances, choirs, plays, and musical theatre. A visual arts gallery will feature many types of student works including sculptures, drawings, photography, and paintings. Community arts partners will offer face painting, drumming, and chalk art to those attending the event.
