The Candidate Filing Period is December 23, 2013 through January 22, 2014.
The easiest way to file as a candidate is online. Here's how:
- Go to https://empowerla.org/anc/arleta-nc-2014-elections
- Click on File Online tab in the right-hand column
- Fill out the online form and click Submit.

Remember, Election Day is Saturday, March 8, 2014.
